Installation of carbon film underfloor heating
Installation of carbon underfloor heating is very easy and can be done as a DIY project upto the point of the electrical connections where a certified electrician will make the connections.
The carbon film underfloor heating can fit under laminate and wood floors as a primary heat.
Please Note: The carbon film underfloor heating is not suitable for use in bathrooms or kitchens.

There are two ways to install the carbon film dependent on the items you have purchased but they are both very similar.
when you purchase the carbon kit you will need to connect the wires onto the heating element after you have cut it to size, if you purchase the carbon mat the wires are factory fitted.
Simple Steps
- Ensure the floor is flat and free from dust and debris.
- Lay out the therm-all insulation over the whole of the floor and tape joints where needed.
- Roll out your carbon film underfloor heating ensuring the cold leads can be taken to junction box
- Use tape to keep heating mats and cold leads in place.
- Lay your earthing mats over the heating element and cut to size as required (ensure you cover any cut ends with tape to protect the carbon film).
- Cover the underfloor heating and earth with the vapour barrier ensuring it is all covered.
- Connections to thermostat to be done by qualified electrician.
- Install your flooring product as normal.
- Sit back and enjoy your new heating system.
